This was such a magical session I am not even sure where to start describing it. This session was the first child session I photographed after returning from my workshop with Cass Vanhorn in Victoria, British Columbia. That workshop was amazing in so many ways. This session with Miss A was my
first chance to put into practice everything I learned. We had this scheduled long before my workshop but, it was the perfect opportunity to practice making magic!CLICK HERE to book your 2024 Tulip session!!
This session was shot at "Flowers on Fargo" Now, many people have messaged me and asked me where this is because they can not find it on google. The secret is that this is NOT a public park or an actual public place. This is someone's backyard!! I know, it is hard to believe but this is someone's private garden. You can look it up on Instagram or facebook but ,you won't find it on google. This is the second time that I have photographed Miss A at Flowers on Fargo. Last year, it was a last second decision, this year we planned for it.
Now, I have been photographing Miss A since she was 6 days old. She has so much spirit and joy that is a pleasure to photograph her. This year I came prepared with a bucket full of tulips. They made the perfect addition to this session. Of course, we could not pick any of the flowers at this location so we brought our own.
I also found out at this session that more people read my facebook and blog than I realized! Last year there was a sweet photographer there who had brought tulips. She let me use one so that Miss A would have one to hold. She was so kind and generous. This year the SAME photographer was at this location at the same time as me! What are the chances?! Anyway, she asked me if I liked the workshop I went to. I paused... I mean, I loved the workshop, but how did she know I just went to a workshop in Canada? I mean I had not seen this woman for a year and the only time I had ever met her was as this same location. She said she follows me on facebook and read about it there. Ha! I guess people do read my posts :-)

Anyway, this session turned out to be so full of spirit, beauty, and magic that it surpassed all my expectations. Miss A's mama was over the moon about how the photos turned out. Here are some of these magical tulip photos!
