Photographers capture images but an Artist tells a story.

Danika, the mom, and I started to brainstorm and it was clear right away that we were going to be a great match in dreaming up her perfect session. She never thought my ideas were over the top and I embraced ALL the rainbow ideas she gave me.
Then... then Covid happened and our plans, all the props, YARDS of fabric I had ordered were all put on hold. This mama's dreams were put on hold. Thankfully on May 1st Photographers were allowed to photograph clients again. And very thankfully rainbow baby had not made an appearance yet!
So Danika and I adjusted our plans. Everything had to be shot outside (as per the Governor's restrictions). I turned my patio into a studio. I spread out blankets and backdrop paper and yards of fabric. I wanted to create the dream like image that she hoped for. It was quite an interesting experience. I had to wear a mask at all times and I had to stay 6 feet away! Keith, Danika's husband got to be my assistant for the day. He did a great job adjusting hair and wardrobe. With a tiny bit of help from Photoshop we were able to make some magic!
With everything this mama has overcome and all the obstacles we had to overcome just to make this session happen, all I can think of is the word RESILIENCE! Enjoy these images! I hope I was able to tell this family's story.
