This session was very special to me. Of course, I love working with newborns and I even still get butterflies before a session because I am so excited. But this session was something different. This session was for my friend and mentor. Chad and his wife Beth brought their brand new baby girl to my studio for a session. Chad and I teach Photography at DeKalb High School together. It is safe to say he knows twice as much as I do when it comes to anything photography related. I almost felt like I was about to take a final exam :-)
Mother Nature was working with us on this day. It was the day of Pumpkin fest in Sycamore. It was unseasonably warm. We were able to get a few photos outside for some super yummy light and some of my favorite outdoor newborn photos ever. As the sun went down and we lost the light, we came into the studio for some more cuddly photos.
Here are some of my favorites from that day.
"As a photographer myself, I truly appreciate Tricia’s technical skill. However, what impressed me the most, was her ability to put us at ease and her natural poise with our newborn daughter. The photos she produced are precious, beautiful, and unique, just like our daughter."
